Ramiel is even wierder an Angel than Shamshel. Although Ramiel "floats" like Shamshel, Ramiel is far from how other Angels look. Ramiel looks like a glass diamond. Ramiel behaves a lot like a machine. Ramiel was described as a "Flying Fortress" because Ramiel's defense and offense seemed perfect. Ramiel's AT Field can stop even High-Powered Laser Beams. Ramiel automatically attacks anything within a certain range. When in that range, there is a 100% probability you'll be locked on and destroyed.

Ramiel's Particle Accelerator Cannon can melt down part of a heat-resistant shield in about 17 seconds. Ramiel was going to attack NERV HQ head-on with it's shield drill that is 17.5 meters across. Ramiel's weakness is different from other Angels. It's weakness is it's center but in order to penetrate it's AT Field, they need to use the SSDF's new proto-type proton-charge rifle with 180 Killowatts of energy. However they were successful.
